Our neighbor National Avenue Christian Church is part of the Crisis Cold Weather Shelter network, and opens their building to shelter people and their pets when the temperatures drop below 32 degrees. This is a vital program for our community, and they are in need of volunteers in a variety of roles.

I suppose that may have been inevitable, given the importance of the matter and this blog being a reliable place for neighbors to get facts. This month, however, is different.
